Here, there, everywhere.
Whhhyyyy have I never noticed this before?

Now you know one of the many reasons why we love 10 so much. :D

Well, I *was* planning on going to the arcade.

But then my body decided, against my wishes, to get sick. So...:e2bummed:

:( Feel better!

I'm off to prettify myself for dinner in a fancy schmancy restaurant. Mom's belated b-day dinner :)

I have a family dinner today too - my bother's b'day. We're only going out to chinese though. :)

We're not quite sure what Tatonka is, but have been told labradoodle.

No, she's not a labradoodle.

I should know what she is, because my immediate reaction to seeing her was, "I should know what she is!!"

Eventually my brain will kick in and I will know, then I will tell you.

I agree. The only labradoodles I've seen have had curly hair, but the vet insists. *shrug* I'd guess she has some old English sheepdog in her.

I can make kick-ass Chinese at home.

One of the few advantages to having lived there for four years. One of the very, very few.

:D

Ramen noodles, a bag of frozen veggies and a chicken breast. Cover in soy sauce. :D

I bet you actually enjoy dried seaweed, don't you, Bos?

No, actually. That was one of the foodstuffs I could not get into. I do like tofu, though, which by the way comes in a great variety of forms and textures. I could make a tofu dish that I guarantee you'd enjoy, Abs.

:D

10! So, a fellow biologist, eh?

It was strongly suggested when I was in school that I specialize in human parasitology. I went for predator-prey relations and Protozoa instead. Still about a semester or so short of my BSc, but I've kept my hand in and did extensive research in entomology and genetics for my book HATCHINGS (I was lucky to be working as a security officer at LBNL at the time and had access to some really high profile scientists, grad students, and areas at LBNL, their off-shoot of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Joint Genome Institute, and NERSC).

One of these days I intend to return to school and get that degree (and others), but life has this habit of getting in the way when you're my age.

Um... no thanks. I'm a... er... I'm a tofu activist.

Don't eat tofu! Save the tofu race!

I bet you've also never had anything other than that poor stuff the health food nuts pass off here. It's not all that soft white mushy crap. Even I don't eat that.

Trust me. It comes in a myriad of forms and textures and tastes, and I could make several dishes that you would like.

Gotta have an open mind, Abs.

Dried seaweed with rice crackers is good! Just the right mix of bitter, sweet, and crunchy.

I like it with sushi too. A tuna roll wrapped in dried seaweed? Wonderful...

None for me today though. I'm finishing off a stew (beef, chicken, sausage, potatoes, onions, garlic, chipotle peppers, etc.) this evening. I might add some beets and/or sauerkraut on the side for "roughage", and top the evening off with popcorn and chicken bullion or black cherry herbal tea...

Or maybe just pop the Totino's party pizza and a burrito in the oven.

Oh I'm very adventurous. Wasabi peas are yummy, tofu is creepy. Nothing edible should jiggle that much.

That goes for Jell-0. Is anything else as creeped out by Jell-0 as I am?

Besides, what IS tofu? I will not eat some mystery jiggly thingy.

Soy.

Tofu comes from soybeans.

And *most* of it is not jiggly at all. All quite firm.
