I enjoy writing paranormal romance when I’m not working. Most of my writing happens while everyone is sleeping or enjoying their morning coffee, like right now. ;) Over the past few years I’ve started writing a couple different books and abandoned them just as fast, I finally finished two, learned valuable lessons... unfortunately afterwards. Submitted my first query and got my first rejection. Now I’m writing a new book, and this time I’ve been applying those valuable lessons I’ve learned. I’m learning new things everyday, so glad to have found this forum, thanks for having me.

Welcome. Writing is all about learning lessons. My first round of queries taught me a lot of lessons, too. I learned that I simply wasn't good enough just yet.

I like paranormal romance and hope you're successful. I get many emails listing free and/or cheap ebooks for kindle and find I slide right on by most of the listings lately, just by title or cover...not my cup of tea. My favorite genre is time-travel romance (though my reading lists are VERY eclectic), so maybe that could work into some ideas for you also.
My two top ideas currently, still 'perking' some, are a time-travel romance and a sort of "you can't go home again"/troubled past romance.
So what exactly is your "paranormal?" I find it can seemingly be a broad genre for many people.

Hi Nascha. I am also brand new and write -some- paranormal romance. Hey, you should be proud of yourself. At least you had the guts to send out a query. Even though I've been told to submit a few pieces, I am terrified. *shrugs* I do not want to send anything out until I at least finish writing classes. You have more guts than I do. Looking forward to reading your work.
