Speaking of avies, I'm not quite sure how to save my glorious shifty-eyed avie so that it can be reinstated after I inevitably get shmooed. What kind of file format should I use?

It is a gif file, Cass, that perserves the animation and I think you need a mod to apply/reinstate animated avies.
