13828- really? We've had cloudy skies, but no sign of anymore snow.

13830 It's sunny here for a change. Quite cool though. Good walking weather.

13831- I don't walk at least while I'm not at work. The step-o-meter thingy read over seven miles the other day at the end of my shift. That's enough walking for me every day.

13832 If I was walking at work I'd leave it at that too. As I'm always at the computer though it's good to get out.

13841 Ever have one of those days when you sit down determined to do re-writes and halfway into a scene you stop what your doing and step back wondering: Who wrote this crap? Heh...oh yeah...

13842 Hi Kelly and Tara. How's your weekend gone? Still working on the rewrites, Kelly?

13845 No. I do a lot of editing as I go along so it's normally been knocked into shape early on.

13846 It helps that I write very short stories though. I don't think I could cope with a massive rewrite.

I wish I could edit as I go, but typically I'm working in minimalism, using a specific modifier word set on one hand, while attempting to work in one or more symbolic analogies.

It's a freaking miracle I can get through certain passages at all.

13848 I deliberate over every word. It's a miracle I ever get anything finished.

13848 Why do I make it so difficult?

This last edit I posted in SYW is third person omni, MC suffering from major depression, he's been reading Nietzsche and now drives through flood waters with his long time best friend and his wife.

The drive: a symbolic view of his youth...
the vehicle: represents creativity and hope,
the flood waters: a metaphor of his depression

and the MC comes through it all with little else than an appreciation for suffering? I swear I'm going to write children's stories after this!

=)

13450 Halfway to the hundred. Wouldn't recommend children's stories, they're not as easy as they look :)
