sometimes I have a hard time figuring out how many syllables are in a word, I have dyslexia...is there a way to check it without having to look up every word in the snail dictionary?
is there anything on line to help?

Ganesha,

The quick way I check syllables is by using www.answers.com. Put the word you are interested in after the http://www.answers.com/yourword and it brings up a dictionary entry for your word with syllable breakdown.

For example,
http://www.answers.com/fatigue

Even, shorter...you can just type "answers.com/fatigue" in the browser address box.

LOL Angelinity..actually, one syllable or two, either way is correct, according to the dictionary. 'ahr' or 'ou-er'

and forever now
means less than infinity
in the beginning
