I gave my cat some of my turkey sandwich at lunch. This might have been a mistake. Kitty has now developed a taste for Kentucky Legend whole turkey breast as well as StarKist tuna.

One day I'm going to be feeding her prime rib.

I'm getting ready to head into my writing tower. Junior is all over the news. It was very hard watching his mother earlier.

I'm still stuck on the recipe. Archerbird's version would require about a fifth, right? And chill it for oh...6 months or so? LOL

You could just do without the gelatin and drink it straight (with a sprig of mint).

Oh, I nearly forgot. I thought about you today AC.

Had a misthrown letter in with my stuff for Nashville, KS. I didn't even know we had a Nashville. :D

I have some sippin' whiskey in the cupboard. But I'd just go to sleep if I had some right now. :)

You barely have a Nashville. I just Googled it; the population is 64.

I knew about Nashville, Indiana and a couple of others.

Similar to what Archer did to the julep recipe, there is a story that when Truman was president he and his wife liked to have an Old Fashioned in the evenings. At first they complained to the White House butler that the Old Fashioned were too sweet or whatever. Finally the butler got to pouring them straight bourbon . . . and Truman and his wife agreed it was the best Old Fashioned they ever had.

What? I'm watching a cooking show on TV (Sara's Weeknight Meals). She's going to show how to do a roast turkey for Thanksgiving.

Where, oh where, did the summer go?

Well, I did have turkey today.

Time to go visit the corn maze! It should be easy this time of year.
