I'm a bit behind with my hugs.

So (((((((huge hugs))))))) for everyone with an R.

Better luck next time, Peeps.

Nope, it's very pale now, actually. I did it opening a can of dog food about 15 years ago. Am I saying that makes me a hero? Look, it's not for me to say...but yes, that's what I'm saying.
Opening cans of dog food is dangerous business. You're lucky to be alive!

One less cricket today; R from Strange Horizons. Not really a surprise. Oh well, will figure out what to do with that piece tomorrow.

Sorry about the Rs all, especially the 'we lost it, oops, R' - that hurts.

As for scars, oh man. I say anyone who scars themselves feeding an animal gets some sexy points.

Oddly enough, the same story that got a personal rejection from Asimov's got a form from Analog.

So the old saying that a form rejection doesn't mean your story sucks is true. There's a lot of taste issues.

Crickets. Including the ones at DSF which has now held my story more than a week past the current responses reported on Duotrope.

Aggy, who may have to start chewing her fingernails again

Good luck, Aggy! DSF seems to hold round 2 stories 1-2 weeks longer than stuff that gets rejected in round 1, so you know you are being very seriously considered.

Bah. Form rejection from Pedestal Magazine for Love Like Dysphoria. Now I have to find another pro market that takes speculative flash fiction.

Sorry about the R, Aggy. Have you tried newmyths.com? They're not pro, but still, fairly decent pay for flash piece ($15).

Got an R from Shock Totem last night. Think I'll sit on it until I can find a more favorable market.
