5526. It's good to know Lonely Planet can't come up with any better pickup lines than I already have.

5528. Chris, of course by saying that you're assuming I look like a person and not a sparkly unipony. And dang, there aren't that many of us on AW. :(

And btw, you mean this ç? The one I have on my portuguese keyboard? :D

5530. Yeah, we have to use shortcut keys but they aren't working on this forum. Not unless there is a palette of special characters in the reply box.

5531. I've never had any trouble with special characters on here. I use lots of them on the portuguese thread. Like ã or ô. :D

5532. And I was right, the "dating and sex" phrases aren't too steamy. Several deal with preservativos and contraceptivos (condoms and contraceptives).

5533. Loved that website, so much fun. I'm curious now. How do you say Citroën? How does it sound?

5534. Are you using your keyboard or the shortcuts? For the c character, I'm supposed to use ctrl+comma and then c. Doesn't work for me and we don't have those keys.

5535. Ah yes, preservativos and contraceptivos. You have no idea of how many times I translated preservatives (in food) to preservativos. Not quite the same thing.

5536. Citroens aren't common over here, but I've heard it "cit-RO-en."

5537. I use keys. I have a ç key, separate from the plain c. I have another key for the ~ and ^, which I use with whatever letter is appropriate. For example, I can do ã and ñ. I also have a ´ and ` key, to use the same way. And I have the ¨ on another key.

5538. Nope, no special characters for me. I've tried several options in "go advanced" and crtl+, and then c just comes up a c.

5539. My favorite, and yes, on the "sex" page of the phrasebook: Nao te preocupes, eu faco sozinho (Don't worry, I'll do it myself).

5540. This is followed by ajuda ter sentido de humor (it helps to have a sense of humor), which has come in handy in those situations from time to time....

5541. I would think men would want help instead of doing everything by themselves.

5547 I heard them described once as the VW's ugly sister. =) It's too bad they stopped making them, cars today have no character, no... je ne sais quoi.

5549. And although I'm not much of a car guy I agree; anything unique from the last 15 years tends to be an overpriced toy that breaks easily.

5550 No "intangible quality that makes something distinctive or attractive" then again, putting the words French and Car together is probably asking for troubles.
