Blond, +1.

I'm 51. I've got 2 great kids (when I don't want to throttle them). A great husband. I'm saggy. I'm gray (under the dye :tongue). I've reached the point where I dress how I like, listen to music I like, watch and read what I like, and if the rest of the world disapproves, they can suck it, because I don't give a crap anymore. It's my life and I worked my ass off to get here.

So there. :D

I'm pretty happy to be this age. And really, the alternative is much worse. : )

On the tea/coffee talk, I used to looove me some black coffee. And then my stomach revolted, when I was in my 20s, and now all I can do is smell the stuff. And drink maybe three ice coffees a year that are loaded with enough milk and sugar to qualify as a milk shake. But I love almost any kind of tea, so long as it isn't artificially flavored. Green jasmine is my favorite, and for herbal I drink gallons of licorice.

This.
I'm still on this side of the dirt.
Though I cringe at ages, I try to remember it could be worse.

Okay, I'll play. I'm 41. And I always kinda wanted to be 41. My whole "mid-forties" persona is way easier to pull off now that I'm actually in my 40s.

I do miss having nice skin, though. Ah, yesteryear.

I've lost like 120 pounds now. My skin is really bad. That's the 'age' thing that bothers me the most.

But, I can sprint pretty fast now, bingo wings and all. lol

Gonna be sixteen Tuesday. Having a pretty big Sweet Sixteen next Saturday, no gifts-affair.

...but I pass for 18 and they serve me in restaurants! (drinking age is 18). Seriously, I don't give ID. I don't order alcohol. If my mom orders wine for the table, they just serve me. If my mom asks if I want wine and I say no, they still freakin' serve me. I swear, sometimes I think they're slipping me roofies.

Para, I guess I can only comment on your creakiness in TWFT... :tongue

I loooooove tea!

That's the one thing that bothers me about losing weight now--chubby faces look younger. I'm hoping if I do it steadily enough, I won't end up constantly wearing a hella-tight ponytail as a cheap face-lift.

Good Lord, I can feel my skin wrinkle just reading the last few posts... :tongue

Agreed.

Yeah, I'm doing it in 10 pound increments and deciding at each step if I want to go on.

Hitting the big 60 next year. My brain feels 20. I seriously want one of those android bodies/rejuvenation. Soon, science peoples, we ain't got decades to waste here.

cheeky, congrats, that is amazing!!

my friend (have i mentioned before?) going
through something similar. i think weights
help to firm but also, it takes a while for the
body to settle into its new skin so to say.
give it some time.

thalia, happy sweet sixteen soon!
i remember sixteen. =)

i'm proud to get older gracefully.
or rather, rambunctiously. i don't
enjoy the aches and pains, but what
can you do. it's mostly genetic for me,
so i try to keep active as much as i can...

Hi all! Long time, no talk! I'm just dropping in to say hi since it's been SO long. How's everyone doing? I hope all is well and good.

Have been kinda out of it recently so haven't been in, but I also wanted to share my good news--in a double dose while I'm here. You may've see on fbook if were friends, but my fiance and I tied the knot about two weeks ago! AND...a couple weeks after we got engaged, we found out we're expecting! She's a girl, due Oct. 27. So that's my life update. I miss all of you guys. Tell me what's going on with everyone!

My "omg I'm old" moment came the other day when I started to reply to someone's facebbok post with a tv show reference... and then realized they were probably too young to get it.

I actually like being 30; I feel like I finally fit into my personality. I just get freaked out when I suddenly realize x% of the population is completely ignorant of things that I have always taken as Part of the Universe. How can they even function?! :)
