At home, ( Seattle, don't tell the predators.)
Can you convert a .doc file to a .txt file and then upload it to an MP3 player? ( Not ipod.)

Also:
I have a mac and every time I open up word it says : An unexpected error occurred while trying to load Microsoft Framework Library. What does this mean?

I have just one more problem.
In my document there will be gaps( one half a page long) I'll copy and paste the sections together and they'll sill be there.
No words are missing, and it doesn't mess up with the writing but it is annoying...

Any ideas?

Doc files can be converted to TXT and vice versa, but the error message that you get suggests that the file is corrupt. If I had your problem, then I would download and install Open Office. Then I would open the document in Open Office, which handles .doc files better than Word does. Then I would open a new text file in Open Office. Then I would copy the file from the first window to the new file and paste it using "paste special" as "unformatted text". That should help you to get rid of the blank spaces. Then I would save the new file using a new filename. You might want to select the option to view non-printing characters while you are reformatting it.

The error message actually is related to a corrupted part of MSWord, not the file itself.

According to Microsoft Support, you can download and install an updated version of the program. This fix is for Office 2004... you kind of neglected to mention what version of the software you have. (BTW-- if you Google your error messages you might find the answers.)

I don't understand what you are hoping to accomplish by uploading a text file to your mp3 player... but it's simple to save a Word doc as a text document. Go to File--> Save As and in the drop box under the file name select Text File (.txt.) Note that NO FORMATTING at ALL will be preserved in the text file. No italics, bold, double spacing, etc. Only the words will stay. (But you will still have your original file.) Then, you can put it on an MP3 player, but the player won't do anything with it unless said player supports text files.

Last thing--
The odd blocks of white space. Sounds like you might have a paragraph formatting issue. At least that's my first guess. Try this-- highlight the area, including the word before and word after the big empty space. Then go to Format--> Paragraph. In the paragraph options, set the space before and space after to be 0pt. See if that fixes it.

If not, you may have a non-printing character in the way. This is a little harder to troubleshoot, so try the first method.

(If you're willing, I can take a look at the doc and see if I can't fix it. I happen to be a Certified Microsoft Word Expert-- no really, passed the Microsoft test and everything.)
