Thanks, PeteMC and StoryofWoe! So difficult to find information sometimes, especially for the newbie agents.

I've recently signed with Amanda Rutter of Red Sofa.

Currently waiting on her edits and suggestions coming back in order to do some polishing of the manuscript before it gets sent out on submission.

Do the ladies of this agency respond at all to partial/full requests? I've had one out with them for many months and no emails are answered.

If it's been many months, there's no harm in sending a polite e-mail asking for a status update.

Yes they do, but remember they had a close period over Christmas and may still be catching up. If it's been many months on a full MS you're probably ok to send a polite nudge, but they'll get to it.

Does anybody know how to find out which books on the Red Sofa site are rep'd by which agents? I'm particularly keen to know which authors are represented by Laura Zats, but I can't find this info on their website. Thanks!

Hey guys, a bit of advice. I'm still a bit woozy from the response, but I got an e-mail from Jennie asking about a good time for a phone call, is this usually an offer representation, or could it be a call for revisions and re-submission? If it's for representation, I've still got a few fulls sitting with other agents on this novel, so I should I notify them now, or take the call first, then send out notifications?

it could be for either. I think it's more often an offer for representation, but some agents will call for an R&R - though usually, in that case, they're pretty serious about potentially repping you, if you do make their requested revisions. But you won't know if it's an offer of representation until you actually talk to them, so definitely wait until after the phone call to let other agents know, if that's what it is. If you are offered representation, it's totally acceptable to ask for some time to consider the offer (this can be anywhere from a week to two weeks), and it would be during this time that you email other agents, let them know you've been offered rep and that they have (X) amount of days to get back to you.

Nobody phones unless they have some level of serious interest in representing you. Good luck!
You have nothing to say to other agents...yet, so no need to notify anybody.
*fingers crossed for you*

Thanks Cameron, Filigree and airanddarkness. I'll take the advice given to heart. Now I just have to hope I don't flub the phone call by only being able to respond with "SQUEEEE!" to every comment or question made.

It's going to be a real pain in the butt I know, but if all else fails you can pull the client list from here http://redsofaliterary.wikispaces.com/Team+Red+Sofa and then check everyone's Twitter / websites to see who they list as their agent.

Don't notify the others yet, wait and see what Jennie actually wants to say to you first!

Cheering you all on!
It could be an R&R--I've had one over the phone--but it's more likely to be an offer. Still, I agree with Pete that you should wait until after the call to contact the other agents. Make sure that it is an offer and that you are happy with the conversation. I always say to wait until you know that you would be happy to accept her offer unless another agent changes your mind.

Thanks for the responses, Pete and Sage. The advice will definitely be followed.
