Software for writers-- recommendations?

I've been happy with WriteItNow, which has submission tracking in addition to the usual word processor and note organizing/character design and tracking features. It's out for both Windows and Mac.

I tried Liquid Story Binder XE, but it's a touch too flashy for what I usually do. If you're adding graphics and such to your work, it has some nice tools for that. But it doesn't track submissions at all (though it does have some good word count features) and its word processor is a bit quirky.

The most powerful and effective piece of writing software I have ever come across is Final Draft, for screen writers. When used to its full potential there is really nothing better than it on the market.


Other than that the English major in me and researcher says to find the most powerful RSS filters and feeders that you can find.
