I'm pissed. I had about 2000 words. Somehow I lost 450 words (a whole chapter) on the novel when the laptop did a forced restart and I hadn't saved my file apparently.

So, What I Guess I Did: 1705 on novel, 569 on August Prompt

This Weekie-Week: 1000 on novel, finish August Prompt.

Got the staples and drains out, getting stronger daily.

Working on revising the first six chapters of my novel. Very daunting, and a little depressing. :-( I've spent the last 3 days looking at them trying to figure out if I should delete the whole mess and start over, or try and salvage some of the work. Ahhhhhhh

I'm aiming to adapt my horror screenplays for TV. Not quite sure of how to proceed, actually, but I'll figure it out. At the moment, there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference, but I'm sure there must be. I'm feeling discouraged at the moment, (recent events - ugh) which doesn't help, but going for it anyway.

Meanwhile, I've posted in Screenplay SYW, first ten of 'Watch All Night'. Anyone care to stop by and crit? :evil

Hello,all!

I'm off for the next three days and all of my horror novels are going to be chopped and screwed. There isn't enough blood. More must die. *cackles*

I've downloaded some Wendy Rule and pagan music so I can write my witch book in the right frame of mind.

I'm also researching a very fascinating and gruesome case that happened in my hometown in the early 20th century. Atlanta had it's own Jack The Ripper and he killed over twenty women. The streets that he and his victims walked still exist!

The Reality...
Added 200 to Kilby.
Didn't look at the by Annie or Then and Now.
Realized a scene from Telepathy needs fixing, but then forgot which one (I mean the story is over 29K long) and how I wanted to fix what I forgot I realized needs fixing.
Found a potential site to send The Roses. Gave it a couple reads and realized it might be better in 3rd person rather than 1st. 3800 words combed and edited, The Roses MC is now Lydie instead of "me."
I can't say if I lost my mind or not. It's been a while since I've seen it.
Started a daily blogging project and have actually blogged 3 days in a row.
Heard back from the Rock is Dead anthology I sent Call it Karma to - I made their short list, but didn't make the final cut.

The Plan...
The first week of school is over and a routine has been etched out in the sand, so this should work.

Review The Roses, polish it up, send it out.
Work on Kilby and/or the by Annie and/or Then and Now.
Remember and write down somewhere, on anything - the back of my hand even, what needs fixing in Telepathy.
Continue the daily blogging.

Keep pushing Laurie.

By the way, is there any truth to the rumors that this might be you?

I got a few words on the novella. Not a lot, just opened it and inserted a few here and there. Not even entire paragraphs, I don't think.

This week I am aiming to get 1k on the novella. Seriously. Going to do it this week. Yep.

I'm only at 8k and I wanted 20k by the summer's end.
