5400 words edited on HATCHINGS today. I hope to get more done this evening and I've got another day off to work on things tomorrow too.

I did send out Evicted though and my other short story, My Boss Sucks, and wrote a flash fiction piece which was posted on my blog. I wrote 1320 words in total as I did some more work on my novella as well.

I'm back to setting weekly word count goals too.

This week I hope to write 2,000 words, compile my early short stories and poetry together for copyediting and maybe do more toward An Abused Mind.

I met my goal from last week. Sent off a short last night.

This week...hmm. Really low. 200 words to anything. I have some work projects that are stifling me creatively and taking up a lot of time. Should hopefully have them closed out in the next two weeks and then I'll be back with better output.

Soap good luck on your sub. I did a google search for sacrificing a muse and came up with this one.

Tell your muse OR ELSE. Hang in there it will get better.

1.Chopped a 120,000 vampire novel down to 95k.

2. Added 2500k to the other books in the series.

3. Just added some more nasty behavior for Riordan.

On a natural high,as my vamps murder,stalk,feud with each other and this is effing good fun!

Nothing and I mean NOTHING,beats horror.

I set clear, well-defined goals every week. "More words." I cranked out several 5k plus weeks on that mentality, even a couple of 10k plus weeks.

My philosophy is "don't mess with what works."

Ergo sticking to my goals.

... also, I have that many words in already.

Hah! How much trouble could they be? They're cute - and blue. I've got a big back yard. They could stay there. There's even a creek just over the back fence.

I doubt there's a regulation about keeping dragons inside the city limits here and if there is, well, I'll take steps to remedy the situation when my new babies are full grown.

(BTW, I used to make mini-dragons with some little Mattel toy factory thingie - I wish I could find one of those things today as I'd make a fortune at Cons).

BTW, I got almost 2700 words done on my rewrite of THIRD PULSE this morning and afternoon.

It's mid-afternoon here (EDT time, sure, but still...), and I'm *first* in this week?

ooh, don't want to be in your shoes when DL checks in.

anyway, last week a tigery someone said I had to do at least 500 words. I got in close to 4k this past week, along with some retooling and plotting and planning. Trying to turn the current WIP from a collection of ideas into a coherent story.

This week: More words. I'd like to get things churning again, but I need a better idea of the structure of this current WIP for that. So there's that, too.
