You're puttin' me to shame here...that's pretty impressive all things considering ;)

I haven't done diddly. Wrote about a page and then deleted it the next day. I think my muse has decided to wear a different coat...

Sleep... Those little slices of Death. How I loath
Okay, let us try this again.
Progress: 3,445 words since I've been in the hospital. One story completed.

*THE DARK-CLAD MAN (or I may change that to DEMON DEFECTOR)
*THE STRAY (completed @ 1250 wds)
*GLORIA
*THE GARDEN IN THE DARK
*UNCONSCIOUS (This may turn out to be a novella, 25,000 words or so, or it will be about 5,000--depends on which fork of the road I take with it)
*DIE YOUNG (flash)
*IT CAME (humor)

Goals: Complete at least two of the stories, 2,000 words.

:Wha:

That seems aimed in my particular direction. I am not difficult. In fact, I've been told on numerous occasions I'm actually quite easy.

... Wait. that sounds wrong....

Yes. Yes you have. :wag:

Also, going to get in early here but I'm in a good mood with the email fairies bringing me news of employment AND payment all in one fell swoop.

I added 8k to the current WIP this week. (Admittedly, some of that was achieved by finally inserting things that had been previously written into their rightful place in the narrative... but a lot of it was newness.) Also solved a couple of plot flow problems without having to resort to an actual outline. At least not yet.

The idea muse also dropped by with a short story and a poem that are at least in the works... not sure the poem will ever get shared (I've heard things about the folks in the poetry threads) but I think the short might actually be a response to the prompt.

Well, one of the prompts. From several months ago. Slow and steady, right? :D

My goal was for 500.

Didn't happen.

Somebody, somewhere, thought I needed an extra helping of stress last week -- killed my words for days.

I did finish the December prompt, even the first round of edits.
Gave up on The Drum Set for now -- I know what I want it to do and it's just not cooperating.
Heard back on two of my picture book subs -- both rejections. Five left.

I'll go for another 500 this week -- we can only hope the Stress Fairy has been captured and beaten.

I was travelling Thurs-Sun, so all I got written was the final DMHO article. Should clock in at about 600 words when I type it up.

And come celebrate with me in the G&A forum!

Last week…
Re: My Dec. Prompt in progress
I'd like to try and keep it at a cool 2000.
What? Did I seriously say that?
*sigh*

Presently it's over 4k…

I have more fine tuning to do this week on it, and then if it's still mammoth, I will be posting in chunks. I did finally come up with a title though! The Death of Me Yet.

Ok, reporting in now, the Mac is loading next to my work computer to check my word count spreadsheet but I know it's not going to be good.

I was aiming for 2,000 words, or 4 500-word days. So didn't do that.

I wrote a total of 0 words toward the novel. But did write 444 words toward a flash fiction piece last Friday, titled Lovers or Haters @ http://www.benjaminsolah.com/blog/?p=1796

This week I'll wind down my goal and only aim for 1,000 words.

Just made my first blog post in over a month with first post anywhere really aside from here in about the same length of time.

I got about 2500 words written last month total aside from here, but I've probably written that much today alone.

I think this new program that I'm using is going to be tremendous boon to my overall productivity and I have had several stories finished within the next two weeks simply through dictation.

Gods, I love this program (Dragon Naturally Speaking).

Um, no, I don't think so.

I've been working hard to get back down to the weight I'm at and haven't seen these numbers since... well, it's been a while and let's leave it at that.

So no fattening up.

I'll do enough of that on my own as it is during the holidays.
