Good morning hounds!

I hope that you have a better writing day TT, and so with the rest of all of you. :D

Yesterday, I sat for 6 hours staring at my chapter 6 trying to figure out *what* was wrong with it... I see too many things, but my brain went stuipd and now I can't seem to remember how to write well. :(

If nothing comes today, then I'm putting it to the side, and going to continue on with the story. Plus I have my magazine meeting today, so I'll have to write my article... I just hope this writer's block is WIP specific and not just my brain being dumb.

Wow, what a downer today... Sorry hounds.

Kittens, Koolaid, and Cuddles!!! (Happy thoughts :))

Happy writing
Hinny.

Good Morning Hounds!

I hope that writing has found everyone well and good for this past week. It seems as though RL has gotten the best of some of us and I just want to say keep posting! Keep Outputting. It'll make the day go by easier if you know that there is at least something you like doing is out there in the infinite space that is the net. :D

Congratulations to all of the hounds that completed their goals for the week. For those of us who didn't, remember there is always this week and many many others to follow. As long as we keep trying, keep plugging away. That is what is important. :)

I did not meet my goal for last week, however, I did write 1000 words, and edited the first 5 chapters of my WIP.

This week, I'd like to get the ball rolling on Cinder and put a nice dent in it. However since my brain seems to be mushy, I'm only going to post a goal of 3k and hope that I can work through the mush and get more than that accomplished.

Have a great day bloody pups!
Happy Writing
Hinny.

She's a Red Grim Reaper. :D I know it's hard to see, but she's pretty.
If I knew how to put her on the thread I would so you could bet a bigger picture of her, but I'm internet dumb...

And the only reason I got 1000 words is because I have to write for the ezine. I wrote two crappy articles and I have no idea what to do with them. But there is a deadline, and so I'm stuck. It's not that impressive. :)

So... goals were: 2k words, 80 pages beta read and 2 subs, (I think).

I got the 2k words (actually got around 4k words, but you know). Got thirty pages beta read and critiqued. No submissions. I'd forgotten that my in-laws were coming in, so I didn't get everything done. I will take my punishments.

Next week!

1500 words, 50 pages beta read and critiqued and 4 subs.

Checking in real quick.

I met my goals from last week!
I got this month's prompt revised and almost ready to post--but saw a huge hole I have to fix first.

AND

Revised my fantasy piece and got mega-good feedback on it from hubs (which makes me think I may reside more in fantasy than horror--since he's never given me that good of feedback before on anything) I managed to trim it to almost 5K (per his suggestions) which was the goal--so that was perfect. Now I just have to smooth out the rough spots and out it goes.

Goals: get this month's prompt story posted.
And let's see...at least 5 pages of edits on the novel that has been collecting dust all summer.

Oh, and I got one rejection this week : (

My goal was 1500 words. I didn't even come close!

292 total for the week.

I really have to work some writing time into this school year schedule of mine.

That's my goal - schedule and make sacred some daily writing time. I'll worry about word count next week.

Sorry for the rejection Soap! You'll get 'em next time. :) And just bc your hubs gives you good feedback on one genre doesn't mean that your other stuff isn't good as well. Write what's in your head, that's all you can do.

Ellen, good writing stuff. Keep it up. :)

Laurie, you got something out, that's all that matters. Keep going. :)

My goal was a pathetic 500 words and I wrote 660 words toward an article for a socialist magazine.

I'm aiming for another 500 words again this week, but double points if I hit 1,000.

Hinny,

Good going on the goals! Some people didn't have output this week. So you get a cookie and a medal. If would like assorted body parts for stew, I will see who doesn't report in and give you first choice;)

EF,

Goals posted very nice. Keep it up. In-laws are enough punishment for not meeting goals. You get out of my basement free card this time.

Soap,

Excellent job. You get a chocolate covered sheep and seven pushups. If you stake the sheep out in the yard, he will attract the ants away from your BBQ.

Laurie

Since you didn't reach your goals you get a little undead doggie covered in kyro syrup and 30 push ups. Sorry it's the best I can do. Your new goal is 500 words at least and taunting of a random schmooed sheep. Good luck:)

Hugs and pushups,

Tigress Tyrant

Dg,

Very nice work. You are a worker bee. You get 5 toes, one arm and a tail from the horror hound of choice. Plus 10 roundhouse kicks.

My total output was 3500 words. My goal is 1250. My pushups for this week 30.

I am off to do another reading...later hounds I expect more reports by tomorrow or I am coming to your house (you know who you are) with a pair of pliers, duct tape and a Hannah Montana CD.

Wow...that's extreme...unfortunately my four year old daughter worships her. Perhaps blindfold? oh,oh, I know....Clockwork Orange style? Make her watch Ren and Stimpy? Monty Python?
Anyway, I opened up my completed novel and slapped myself....its 49,000 words, almost fifty...I'm going through the whole editing process. Success? Yeah...I deleted some useless prose and added some other pieces....and now it's coming together. Just needed a little love.

A dark, evil place.
Reporting in, late as usual.

-200 for the week. Editing, no new writing. Maybe next week.

I just wanted to tell you, DL, that avvy of yours? If you're commando underneath it's a kilt, if there are panties there, it's a skirt.

Mine's a kilt. :D Apparently it's a Hawaiian kilt, but it's a kilt nonetheless.
