Busy week.

Finished a 200+ word book I'm betaing for a friend and wrote out notes.

Tinkered with my blog. Okay. I just added a widget/gadget/or what ever you call them.

Got four rejections--three of them within about 4 hours on the same day.

Re-subbed two back out.

Took a look at reworking one of the other rejections to make it suitable for an anthology. I'd need to add 1000 words, but I think I've figured out how to do it. It should make it a better story too. Darker as well, which it needs.

Kicked new story ideas back and forth with my sometimes co-writer.

Wrote probably less than 50 new words.

Goals -- 1000 words.

Busy Haggis,

Well done goals posted--fixed your post for you.

Need more output my dear.

30 pushups for Haggis.

Hugs and pushups,

Tigress Tyrant

Well, I fell a little a short of my 1k goal...got 841 words on the short. I chopped the heck out of the opening chapter of my new novel, so that was a loss of around 200 words, lol.

Pushup time!

I've done nothing except submit short stories to magazines, in a vain attempt to gain 'writing credits' in order to fool agents into thinking I'm a good writer. :D

*Throws rejection slips at Ms Cranky* :D

Hey, keep those things to yourself, Steve-O! With luck, I'll have more of my own soon enough, lol.

And don't discount submitting...that's a step a lot of people never take, even though they talk about it a lot. *coughcough* Not that I'm, like, talking about myself or anything. :D

Haven't seen any articles that say crazed writer attacks co-worker---so I hope things are better there---and for a special treat---you get to ruff up the next horror hound that posts after me:)

Hugs and pushups,

Tigress Tyrant

Aaaand... the next person to post was:

2000 words this week--not satisfied. The story felt like it was going to work better--I might change the (person) of the story--to see if it moves better-- might even ask a handsome horror hound to look it over before I post it. *smiles sweetly* got some poetry done, too--not postable:) starts her 40 sit-ups!

Goal 1200 words--and a finished story.

*bats baby blues* Oh, beloved tyrant--I have a scene where one character cold-cocks another and I do like hands-on research. If you'll stand right here.... a little to your left... perfect. :box:

Yep, I found £1 on the floor outside the shops this morning - this could lead to big things for me! Like, a giant Mars Bar, for example...or even THREE bags of crisps(!)

More breaking news as we get it...

:D
I fear I will have to ruff up--the soon to be ????????!!!!! author with several roundhouse kicks if he doesn't spill the beans:D

If Steven's pregnant, I claim first dibs on turning the story into a true piece of horror fiction. :D And to tell him in graphic detail about my C-section (first kid) and 21 hours of labor (my 2nd kid). :e2teeth:

I'm pregnant and Haggis is the father! I was hoping that it was Stephen King, as the money would be quite useful, but no luck. I'm now working on a second pregnancy, hopefully with Bill Gates.

Bugger....gotta go, folks. I have visitors.

I'll be back later, with lawyers in tow.

Ze news is: My novel was accepted for publication this morning. I'm now trying to work out contract details, hence my reticence in posting much about this.

See you later, all. :)

I'm getting mixed signals here... which makes you two like all the other females in my life... including my cat. :D

I see no contradiction there. More like a schedule, or something. :D

lily- is that the one with the worms in it? I usually pick out the worms but maybe if Steve likes them he can have my share of them?
