I didn't realize there was a angel/demon porn - squicky horror YA market.

If you weren't going to hell before, you are now :D

(I'll save you a seat if I get there first.)

No, no--this isn't the angel/demon/vamp stuff. This is the original horror--the one with crucifixions.

I'll torture the teenagers, but their morals will remain intact. :D

There's an old Far Side cartoon that has Fred Astaire being ushered into the "Macarena" dancing room for all eternity. I figure I'll be ushered into the Barney First Readers tie-in room forever.

I never have comprehended American morality -

It's okay to blow someone's brains out all over prime time tv, but god help you if you show a naked breast.

:Wha:

Well, my MC gets stripped nekkid before I crucify her, does that count?

I meant I wasn't going to YA the explicit sex vamp book. Trust me when I apply the "explicit" label to it.

I think stripping her naked is not allowed in the YA market, somehow ... esp if you're going to crucify her later. :D

Congrats! :partyguy:

and, ooh, look, someplace I didn't know about to sub to :D
Thank you! Steven Marshall, the editor, is great to submit to! I submitted a story that did not quite make it and he was real personable with the rejection. He took time to give suggestions about how to make the story more marketable. He also edits a yearly anthology called Bonded by Blood. :)

PS I need output and goals---from all the horror hounds---or the pooch gets roughed up extra this week;)

Isn't the idea to give us something we *don't* want to see happen in order to motivate us, or, as is so often the case, am I missing something?

ok - 2000 wds that pay - badly, but they pay

probably another 2000 on the current WIP though I haven't run the official word count

... both of those need to go up (though the WIP count will include edits/revisions to existing work) by about another 3k by next week, I think

Also, I'm throwing in an extra goal. I have two finished stories that have been lurking on the hard drive gather digitial dust. They're going to get submitted this week.

And if not, may I suggest Lily gets to do "research" on Haggis? :D

We do.

And, as this is the first I've noticed - congrats on the 10k post count :partyguy:

(Do you have *nothing* else to do all day but hang here? :D)

I can work him into the fantasy... the MCs could get extra hungry along the way and this chubby little pooch could appear in their path just as someone's aiming an arrow at a squirrel...

**grumbles** Boston is right!

ok - 2000 wds that pay - badly, but they pay

Boston,

Very well done:) goals and output no pushups for you.

30 roundhouses to be given to the horror hound of your choice--I suggest Haggis

Hugs and pushups,

Tigress Tyrant

I'm finally done being sick, so I think I can safely post some goals for this week.

1000 words. Two blog posts of 350 words each.

That should do it, methinks. :)
