[Job listing] Contracted Work / contractedwork.com

Has anyone ever used this? They make you pay to subscribe, and then you bid on writing jobs (like an auction). Just curious if anyone has tried..it's kind of expensive for a struggling writer: the cheapest is 14.95 a month.
    Thanks in advance, Joni

There are a few services like that. I would stick to the free ones, or ones recommended by a user. The free ones tend to relate to very 'niche' markets. One is gaycontentlink.com

I've never used such a site but know a few writers who have. Most of them became disillusioned quite quickly by the undercutting involved in the bidding. To "win" a job you may end up writing for 2 cents a word or $5/hour.

I'm sure Uncle Jim will chime in with something about Yog's Law: Money flows to the writer.

Paying money to find markets that I could probably find myself with a little effort doesn't seem like such a good deal.

This seems to the the opposite of the way it ought to work.

It took me a year to do it, but by golly, yes! Money flows toward the writer!

*snicker* Hey, better late than never!!! And yeah, this sounds like a very poor deal at best for writers.
