I imagine it means "to be cheesy in excess."
Can anyone tell me who does that song, "Everything" that's on the rock stations lately? I don't even know if that's the correct song title, but I could sing it for you (badly, by the way, very badly).

I'm going to out myself as a dork here...

Everytime We Touch, by Cascada.

Also, the main theme to Pirates of the Caribbean. I like to crank that up when I drive.

Down and Out -- Genesis, first song from And Then There Were Three

Also, I try every morning to listen to Boston's self-titled LP, from 1976, the first song of which is my all-time favorite Boston song. The song is More Than A Feeling, and it just wakes me up like little else can.
Love that album. :)

I get my verve on with BELA LUGOSI'S DEAD by BAUHAUS. Either that or EVERY DAY IS HALLOWEEN by MINISTRY. They are my signature songs. (-;

Another good one I'm listening to right now is Hotel California by the Eagles. Also, the very last song on the Hotel California album, The Last Resort, is very inspiring. It's one of the main reasons I listen to this LP.

I'm probably a terrible mother, but me 'n' my boyz love rockin' out to the Ramones. Their fave is "I Want to be Sedated." Sounds pretty funny coming out of the ole minivan - we've had some strange looks.
REM's "It's the End of the World as we know it" floats their boat, too. It's really funny hearing a six year old trying to belt out all those words.

I love both of those!

all children should be exposed to the Ramones! :D

I love both of those too, Dolores.

And, Trish...my kids were subjected to the Ramones at an early age. (-;

Well, if that's the case, I'm offended. My songs are not cheesy in the least. They are songs that are pretty damned cool and that's why they get me amped.

Another good one I'm listening to right now is Hotel California by the Eagles.
I'm not a huge Eagles fan, but I love the version of Hotel California that the Gypsie Kings did. In spanish with spanish guitar. Mondo-cool.

Candyfloss lyrics

I'm the boy that looks excited
I'm the boy thats gonna fall apart
Candyfloss, I lie to myself
I'm the boy that eats his heart out

I know I should be more careful
I know I should watch where Ive been
Candyfloss and shes a safecracker
She kissed me first and then broke in

We slip and slide on the stay-together landmine
I make my mind up to never be myself
And every time I fake around
I live my life for someone else

Oh-whoa-whoa
Oh-whoa-whoa
Oh-whoa-whoa

She's in the kitchen with bitter diamond drunks
(She's in the way)
I'm on the sofa hoping she leaves that punk cause
(I'm in the way)

I'm the boy with the poetry power
I'm the boy, smells like flowers
Every time I dick around
I live my life like I wasnt invited

Oh-whoa-whoa

She's in the way
I'm in the way

I'm the boy that looks excited
I'm the boy thats gonna fall apart
Candyfloss, she kissed me first
And I'm the boy, don't get me started

I know I should be more careful
I know I should watch where Ive been
Candyfloss, shes a safecracker
She kissed me first, then broke in

Oh-whoa-whoa

This is totally off topic, but I started the thread so . . .

Last night we were eating dinner and I mentioned something about Ozzy Osbourne. My 11-year-old daughter giggled and said "what's his name?" I stared at her indignantly and said slowly "Ozzy Osbourne!" She giggled again and said "That's a stupid name." My wife and I sat in stunned silence, completely unable to come up with any response that might even BEGIN to address the situation. I know she's heard plenty of Ozzy, but I guess the name never registered with her. I'm still debating on whether to ground her or send her to an Ozzfest education camp.

I really cannot stand any member of the Osbourne family. They're drugged up, alcoholic, selfish ingrates who don't deserve to appear on my telly. Especially that bloody wife. She had an affair with a married man (a sin for which she rips into other women today) who regularly committed grave acts of violence against her and justifies it all by saying, "I love him!" Well that's okay then, love, isn't it?

Huh. That's not love. That's addiction. Seems like a family trait.

Okay, III - you can rip on me now. I just can't believe those goobers are role models today.

I have only two words for you: Ozzy. Osbourne. I rest my case.
