Here's one I came across today, and I'd almost forgotten it!

It doesn't get me amped, exactly, but it does make me wanna get up off my fanny and dance, anyway. :D Good times!

Scuse me while I get up and dance around the living room now...

I have a ton of them, but (and feel free to call me weird if you want), I love dancing around to the High School Musical soundtracks and a lot of popular 80's songs. Examples:
Rick Springfield- Jessie's Girl
Pat Benatar- Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Def Leppard- Pour Some Sugar On Me
And of course, who can forget Queen's "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions".

New York City Serenade- Bruce Springsteen

So romantic. Makes me want to write about love-- and that's something that I value.

I have several. One is "I Am Moana" from, obviously, Moana. I always feel empowered listening to her realize who she is!

Another is from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and it's called "You'll Play Your Part." Makes me think that my time will come eventually.

The third is from the Sofia the First/Elena of Avalor crossover episode called "My Time." Just listen to it, and you'll see why.

If you can't tell, music from animated TV/movies is a big inspiration. Yeah, I'm an adult, but I still love cartoons. *shrugs* What can you do?

Citizen Erased- Muse

I have come up with the ending scene of a novel, without knowing the rest, just from the end of the song. It's so melancholy and beautiful.

Esctahon - Rave the Reqviem https://youtu.be/GOzctKF1eJ8

^Been quite obsessed with this song for months now.
And I agree with DanielSTJ - it is entirely possible to know a scene or ending of your work just from one powerful song.

I foresee an epic battle. ;]

Been on a good run with Kendrick Lamar the past few months, finally getting over-listened and need to give it a break.

Some other tried and true favs:

In the Steppes of Central Asia: Borodin

Aesop Rock: None Shall Pass

New Order: True Faith/Thieves Like Us/Age of Consent/anything, really...

Grateful Dead: Dark Star

Talking Heads: Born Under the Punches

Mogwai: Party in the Dark

Yeah, swing music does get me "amped". Been listening to it since I was a kid, and I mean a kid, a toddler, and even then it was out of date. But not for me, not then and not now. It's how I learned about music.

Not sure if you actually like this stuff--few people do, but for those who might:

ETA: I think I should apologize, Xelebes. I honestly thought you were putting me on. The tune you linked is actually a good one, if a little gimmicky.

I think I need a break from a couple things in my life that have been wearing on me. Sometimes, for me, it's hard to know when "when is when", and by the time I figure it out, I'm way down the road. Best to all. Hope to catch you somewhere on the other side.
