    vendisism

    Derived from the French vender meaning to sell, vendesism is the philosophical belief that in a capitalistic society enlightenment is achieved through increased involvement in commercial activity and acquisition of wealth.

    gnorfed: the past tense of the irregular verb 'gnife', which means to stab someone in the now-defunct gingdom of Ongland, a precursor to the English-speaking countries, which ceased to exist primarily because it's alphabet lacked the letter 'k'.

    This is the upwardly mobile ( rising in social status and economic ranks of a community) ex-con. It was first used with the release from prison of various members of President Nixon's administration.

    It's a little know fact that there are actually twin monsters in that famous lake in Scotland. Pleasantness is the nice twin; Nastyness is the other one.

    Bendaholic = me.

    Actually, a bendaholic is what happens when you give some copper wire to a bored person and they discover they love bending it back and forth till it breaks so much, they wind up never accomplishing anything useful. Some bendaholics do get work, however, employed with electricians who are snipperloseiacs (keep misplacing their wire cutters).

    cryinanalysis

    To determine the health of the endocrine gland, laboratory testing requires that a patient submit a cryinanalysis tear sample by weeping into a small plastic tube. Patients who complain that they don't have the urge to cry are either handed an onion to peel or required to watch The Color Purple over and over again until they are weeping buckets.

    liapaed

    this is obscure indeed. but old shakey's classical acumen is not easily baffled, even by an allusion as orphic as this. a liapaed is one of three adenoidal sisters, daughters of liapeas, the mouth breathing guardian of the opuntian underworld. the sisters were assigned to torment ajax the lesser, or locrian ajax, for the rape of Cassandra. the sisters, complete with platinum bubbles and matching chiffon scarves, would sing off key mo-town hits in ajax' ear as he tried to pilot his ship back to locris. it was their plaintive, warbling rendition of "my guy" that finally caused ajax to lose the his grip and founder his ship, impaling himself on the rocky coast of leuke island. --s6

    sarpedonal

    The sarpedonal instestine is part of the digestive system. Located midway between the liver and the gallbladder, this organ has no known function except as an excuse to justify its removal by pricey surgery.

    Lumpicker
    Ahhh, Woof, ye take us back to the Court of King Pheelopholos. King Pheel, as he was known to his loving subjects, was a big fan of the sultry sounds of the Lum; a 125 string instrument so soft sounding that the instrumentalist had to hum along in harmony. These rare musicians were called Lumpickers. They were all killed and buried with their Lums when King Pheelopholos was blinded by a snapped lumstring.

    semipendiculoric

    Managers of diet clinics and fat camps weigh in their clients weekly on the pendiculoric scale to determine weight loss or gain. If a client has gained weight, the weight meter reads maxipendiculoric while a light flashes and an alarm goes off. The client is then punished by having to spend an extra 6 hours on the treadmill. However, if the client has lost weight, the meter reads semipendiculoric, soft classical music plays, and the client is rewarded with an extra slice of tofu.

    nonopede

    an educational term describing a high school teacher who teaches on the second floor of a building so old and so rural that it has only two restrooms--one boys, one girls and both on the second floor in the far wing. you can usually spot a nonopede because of the yellow eyeballs and aversion to anything liquid after 12:30 p.m.--s6
