Congrats Dawnny! Did you ever hear back yet? Hopefully you did and are too busy celebrating and signing to answer :)

I got a full request from Ayesha Pande two weeks ago and just sent it out last week. It seems like I'm in for a long wait though...

Congrats to you, too, Jennifer! :D

No, I haven't heard anything back from Ayesha yet. But it's only been 2 months (almost 2 1/2). Still too early to nudge on a full!

Fingers crossed for both of us! :)

I sent a full to her on request on 3/2. Is it really expected to take 2 1/2 months + to hear back on a full from Collins? I was expecting 1-2 months max. The other full I sent got a response in two weeks. This is an eye-opener (not favorable obviously). I suppose we should continue to query elsewhere.

yeah they actually state on their website that the expected time is 8-12 weeks, that's too much time to just hold on to them....keep querying, I agree

Has anybody heard back on any fulls or partials sent to Ayesha Pande? It's been nearly three months since I've sent mines off so I just wanted to check and see where everyone was before I nudged her...

I sent her a requested partial last April and never heard back so I nudged her in late June. No response. I've read she's a good agent.

What are their submission guidelines? I couldn't find any specifications on their website, nor on query tracker. I haven't checked agentquery yet though.

Thanks!

Never mind. Just went to agentquery-query + first five pages. Although she says she likes eclectic, and that's not how I would really classify my ms. Not sure if I should query her w/ my contemporary YA.

Thanks Donut! I looked on her website, but all it has is what type of ms they are looking for, not what to send. I'm thinking of querying her, so I hope the info. on agentquery is correct.

was there some other specific information you were looking for?

I clicked on that page and didn't see any of that, weird!

Thanks so much though. That was exactly what I needed. I'm going to query Ms. Pande this afternoon. Cross your fingers for me?

Just in case you were wondering, I follow Ayesha on Twitter and she is very nice, easy going and definitely an author's advocate. If you've been waiting for longer than 12 weeks and kind nudge would not be a bad thing. She is guesting on my blog soon. Great agent and a great agency. Good luck to all who have subs with her!

This LA appears to be dead. Ayesha Pande is now at Ayesha Pande Literary.

I made a mistake and sent a query not knowing the genre she represented. This was a reply that her assistant sent only days after I queried her.

Oh crumb. Nice query and very clean hook. We don't represent Fantasy though.
Keep querying!
Alyson

I was so touched that she spent the time sending me this email when there are hundreds out there that don't even bother.

That might be the most adorable rejection I've ever seen.

Hee hee... You guys make me laugh.

It's hard to reply personally to 1300 queries, but on the ones that come so close, it's hard not to. Good writing leaps out and smacks me. I love it, so keep it up!

(I saw you tweet about that query, Crzywritergrl!)

ksbaby, hunt down those fantasy agents! Sounds like you have a great query and premise. : )
