Making my way through the Goldfinch. It was slow getting started, but now I can't put it down.

A week ago I finished The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House by Kate Anderson Brower, a very interesting book. This morning I finished The Last Tudor by Philippa Gregory. Her books are my comfort books.

Now I'm opening Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by my idol Neil deGrasse Tyson.

I just started reading 'The Darkest Part of the Forest' by Holly Black and loving it. The back-and-forth between times is a little jarring at first, but I'm getting used to it. It's worth it anyway. So much mystery, so many secrets, so much imagination and creativity. I'm falling in love with the concept of fairies all over again.

Wee Free Men by Pratchett. I've read all his adult books but was delaying this because I liked having books of his unread. It was like... he's not really gone if I still have books of his to read. Love that man. I am enjoying the read, though it is bittersweet.

I read Seventeen and J by Kenzaburō Ōe. That was pretty crazy. Woah.

Also, I'm reading The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch by Philip K. Dick: I don't like it.

Lastly, reading The Adventures of Augie March. This one I'm enjoying.

Darkness, Take My Hand, by Dennis Lehane. Also crawling through Dante's Inferno.

Inferno was awesome, even if I didn't know who he was lampooning. I got bored halfway through Purgatorio and never made it to Paradisio. No metaphor on my life, there!

Master & Margarita by Bulgakov—for the fourth time.

(If you can't read it in original Russian, THIS is the best translation from what I've glanced through in Portland's Powell's Books—they had a bunch side by side.)

That's on my Christmas list :)

Currently reading Turtles All the Way Down by John Green and I have a few pages left. Then, I'm going to start Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer for school even though I've put it down several times before.
