    True Life Story Contest

    Hi all,

I was thinking of submitting to the True Life Story Contest. There's nothing about who owns the site or who runs the contest.

Has anyone ever dealt with these people?

    Thanks,
    Steph

    Re: Writing Contest - enquiry

For whatever good it does, the site is owned by

    Bob Halpin
    166 Elmhurst Ave
    Toronto, ON (CA)
    M2N 1S1

Let me know if you need his phone number.

They don't seem to be asking for any money, which is good. They don't say who will be publishing the proposed anthology, which is less good.

Nor do they mention royalties for the anthology, or any payments other than the three prize winners for stories selected for the anthology. That's something that I'd write to ask about.

    Query address is: info@truelifestorycontest.com

Well, the first year's winners have been announced at http://truelifestorycontest.com/ and the second year contest is open now.

I don't know any more about it.

    James,

Did you happen to read the first prize-winner?
