My formatting question is this: After the header on pages is there a double or single space before resuming dialogue? Thanks...

If you're working with MS-Word (and probably any other sensible word-processor) you can set up separate top and bottom margins for headers, footers and main text. That's really the intended way to get your pages set up uniformly throughout the document.

Thanks, I am working in MS-word. I just need to know if a double space is used agter the header?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "double-space" here. Certainly you don't want to be putting in an extra hard blank line in your text for this reason. And if you set the margins properly, you'll have the header appear a proper distance above the main text on the page. I think you'd want something like this:


Header: Name (at left); Title / page number (at right)


Text begins here . . . . . .

and continues, double-spaced, thus . . . .

for 25 lines or so, to the end of the page . . .

after which the next page will look just the same, regarding format . . .
