    Favorite Blogs

Which ones are you addicted to? Who is your day not complete without?

In the post-Snark era , there are a couple I read almost daily.

I just love Kristen Nelson's blog and newsletter, Pubrants

Jim Butcher's blog and podcasts are full of truly useful writerly information.

And when I need a giggle, I like Smart Bitches Who Love Trashy Books, AKA SBTB

    What about you?

I miss Miss Snark, sniff, sniff

    Pub Rants
    Lit Soup
    The Rejecter
    BookEnds
    Diana Peterfreund

There are several others I check occasionally, but these are the top five for now.
In a science fiction novel, if I describe what's on a desk, the reader will use this to figure out the level of technology in the society.

In a mystery novel, if I describe what's on a desk, the reader will understand that one of those objects is a clue.

In a literary novel, if I describe what's on a desk, the reader will understand it to be a metaphor for the protagonist's mental state.

I like some of our own bloggers:
    http://bernitaharris.blogspot.com/
    http://writtenwyrdd.blogspot.com/
    http://kojiskitchen.blogspot.com/
    http://shiveredsky.blogspot.com/index.html

    But my absolute favorite is:
    http://www.evileditor.blogspot.com/

Evil Editor - if you don't go there regularly, do it! Funny! Helpful! Weird!

Miss Snark was my one-and-only true love. I don't read them any more. Her absence has left a black void in my heart...

    *cries*

Well... okay, I still read The POD Critic because he is fabulously intelligent. (Plus he gave me a really good review, but that ain't got nothin' to do with it... )

Seriously, he is one smart editor. And he reviews movies sometimes too, and his tastes are similar to mine.

I'm going to have to refer to my bookmarks list for the links where I like to go....

The Renegade Writer Blog - http://therenegadewriter.com/ - I've really been following the three makeovers they've had ongoing.
    Kristin Nelson - http://pubrants.blogspot.com/
    Writer Beware - http://accrispin.blogspot.com/

Those are really the only other writing blogs (other than friends, both online and off) I follow. I miss Her Snarkiness.

I also miss Miss Snark -

However, I also read Pubrants religously and I love Jenny Rappaport's blog Lit Soup - http://litsoup.blogspot.com/

The Smart Bitches never let me down http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com

I usually drop by Romancing the Blog http://www.romancingtheblog.com

    and of course

    Writer Beware.

There are a few others that I read occasionally, but these are almost daily reads.

I wish Miss Snark would reconsider.

I have a whole list of blogs I've book marked, but there's only a handful I check out every day.

    Gennita Low's Blog: http://rooferauthor.blogspot.com/

    Smart Bitches, Trashy Books: http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com/

    Romancing the Blog: http://www.romancingtheblog.com/blog/

    The Canadian Writers' Collective: http://canadian-writers-collective.blogspot.com/

I used to check out Bleeding Ink http://www.heatherbrewer.com/bleedingink/ every day too, but Heather Brewer can't update as often as she used to so now it's one of my once a week check-ins.

Another blog I've started going to regularly is DragonHeart's Blog, A Dragon's Heart. As many of you know I'm heavily into dragons, and her subject matter inspires me.
