Bobby Horton's rendition of Richmond is a Hard Road To Travel

It was sung by the Confederate soldiers from the POV of a fictional Union soldier who thinks he's singing a joyful song about how the Union are going to overcome the obstacles before them, but which the actual Confederate soldiers "understood" to be a Villain Sucks song about how the Union army have failed at every turn and are deluding themselves about how they were going to win.

... Except that the Union won in the end, so it's actually the Confederate army singing what they think is a joyful song about how they've been doing everything right and the Union have been doing everything wrong, but which a modern listener would (hopefully) understand to be a Villain Sucks song about how the Confederate army were deluding themselves about how they were going to win :)

Ann Cole's original rendition of "Got My Mojo Workin' (But It Just Won't Work on You)".
