I'm a proper little Petrol Head, and I have a thing about loving cars, and dispising other cars.

Overall, my favourite cars ever are:

Aston martin DB5
Jaguar E-Type
Fiat 500
Renault Clio
Lamborghini Gallarado Spyder
Ferrari Enzo

And I have a theorem about the properties of cars, all depends where the cars were built/originated from.

E.g.

Italy - Speed
Germany - Tons of BHP
U.K - Style, Speed, Substance
U.S - Think Big....no.....MASSIVE! STUPENDOUSLY MASSIVE!

And I would want to know all of your thoughts on cars....

And to get the ball rolling...

I Hate Fords.

Where's the party???-- I got the KEY to the cage--
Yeah, while it *is* true that some of our cars in the US are "swollen", we're slowly learning. My husband drives a GMC truck to work, but it's a V-6, good on gas, and he only drives about 2 miles to his job-- plus, being a mechanic on the side, he keeps our autos tuned "air-friendly". Me-- I drive a small PT Cruiser. Nuff said? Now-- for our "fun" cars-- we belong to a British Sports Car Club, and we drive a Sunbeam Tiger (bright candy yellow), own a (candy yellow) Austin Healey Bug-Eyed Sprite, and my husband is self-restoring a Jaguar XKE 2 + 2 (it'll be dark, dark blue). We're nowhere near wealthy-- he restores them himself. My husband would like to adopt you. Ford is a bad, bad word in our house, too.
:D

[Word is: Ford is selling their Jaguar ownership-- Bout time!!!]

“He asked me to marry him.”

“You’re kidding. What’s he like?”

“He’s gorgeous, and he’s got a great job.
He has a condo on a golf course, and he loves to party.
He’s the only man I’ve ever stayed all night with.”

“So, what’d you say?”

“I said no. He drives a Taurus.”

“Do you love him?”

“I can’t. He drives a Taurus.”

Now-- Hey!!
I merely said I wouldn't/couldn't marry Taurus-Boy!
I said nothing against a "sleep-over"!

Very good plan, restoring a Jaguar...

Some of my relatives have a 'History' of revamping cars:

VW Beetle (Electric Orange)
Triumph (Black and Yellow, Looks absolutely sweet)

And I want to restore a VW 'Hippy Bus' with a Bike Rack on the back (Compliment of my mate)...

And I have a plan of restoring and tuning an Aston Martin DB5....now that would be sweet. V8 Engine, Citroen suspension, original body, redo the interiors with some leathery stuff, redo the dash with rosewood....

That's The Plan.

By the way, may Ford crash and burn, along with their escorts, focus and all the other cars (Apart from Transits, even though I hate ford, they're quite pratical).

I am suuuuch a car chick :)

My first one was a 1967 Ford Mustang (it was already a classic when I bought it.) I love the old muscle cars from the 60s and early 70s. Many fond memories of hanging out with my friends (most were gearheads) and watching them restore old Chevelles and Camaros. Helped teach me a lot because that Mustang was definitely a

Daily.

Now I have a 2007 Saturn Aura, which I love. But the next go round will have to be something in the BMW category - I just don't quite know which one ;)

I don't know nuffink about cars, but the banker boyfriend in my screenplay (overly-sensible, doesn't believe in the supernatural, redeems himself but still suffers awful fate) drives a Ford S-Max. Is this bad? I found out about it on the net, and thought it might be the kind of car someone like him might drive and I needed a 6-seater. So is it bad?

It really depends if the banker is really rich or on a moderate salary. If he is rich, then i'll recommend probably a Bentley Continental GT - hardtop version, since it is pratically 'The Banker's Car'. If on a moderate salary, i'd possibly suggest something around the lines of a Citroen, Audi or a BMW. They're the perfect car for a banker on a moderate salary.

Anyways......the reason I hate fords is because they are difficult to tweak or modify. Around 80% of the parts are welded into the chassis or to the skeleton/body of the car. Also to the fact that they break down nearly all the time....

I've got a 43 year old Willy Jeep for sale. Any takers? 150,000 baht, that's about 3750 USD.

Great car, no doors, sun roof over driver and passenger only, big over sized tires. Drives like a tractor.

Want it. Call me at +66 890946869

You'll have to figure out how to get it to where you live.

Euro-snob.

Euro Snob?

The late 60s was both the best and the worst era for cars. The best era mainly because of the classics: Aston martin and Jaguar are responsible as well as Chevrolet, Mercedes, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

And America? They have made some classics, but very few. Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge.....that's about it.

Chevrolet has a proven track record of producing uncomfortable, unreliable cars, which are based heavily on looks. Ford..well..they're cars are all messed up. Ford Mustang is the only real decent thing that has come out of a Ford, but that even lacks, as proven on Top Gear, whereby a Ford Mustang was put to the test by racing a Lotus, which had a smaller petrol tank than the Mustang.

Who won? The Lotus.

Ford GT is god damn aweful. It is about as pratical as trying to garotte someone with chewing gum.

Doors: Idiotic
Engine: Stupendiously Idiotic.

The one thing, the one little thing that really gets on my nerves, is that nearly 80% of the car is european. I kid you not, for most of it is made by BMW, Jaguar, Lotus, Merc, Lambo and Ferrari. Ford claims it to be their best creation, but really, it's a creation of Europe.

One word for Dodge: No.

Good but not brilliant salary, but he's the type who'd be saving up for his kids' private school before he's even left school himself. I do need a 6-seater, though. Do they have that?

Love the photos, guys.

Bah! And here's me violating the law of horror and NOT having the car break down...

Then i'd suggest a BMW 3 Series model car, as it is quite affordable on that budget.
