[Agency] Literary and Creative Artists, Inc

FordGunter

I hope no one minds my repetitive posts on this list, but everyone seemed pretty eager to jump on the last thread. Does anyone know anything about these guys?

They are from DC, seem to have a decent client list, and are interested in exclusive viewing in return for a prompt response. Any knowledge is greatly appreciated!

Anyone familiar with LCADC?

I have had a nibble from two agents and was wondering if anyone had personal experience or knowledge of them?
The first is Literary and Creative Artists, Inc. in DC and the second is the NY-based Waxman Agency. I have looked them both up at AAR and perused their websites - clearly they are legitimate agents. I just wondered if anyone had any non-internet-gleaned information or knowledge they might share!
Thanks :)

During the past 20 years, LCA has been a full-service agency, representing new and experienced authors of skill and originality. We have been the driving catalyst for our clients' expanded career paths. Well known in all Trade book publishing markets, we have an enviable record for the creative extension of our authors' subjects --whether fiction, non-fiction,-- into any other appropriate cross-media opportunity to impress them onto the 'public mind'. From the 25 books of Deepak Chopra and their many derivative product expressions, to the genius of Michael Gelb's "How to Think Like Leonardo DaVinci" and the brilliance of the Celtic stories and art in the World of Froud; from physicians to performers, business and health gurus to religious leaders, our canvas of mainstream and literary projects is broad and colorful. Our authors are located throughout this country, as well as in many other nations throughout the world. We have active business relationships with specialists in every venue.
We are highly selective, and deeply committed to nurturing the creative process. We do not accept unsolicited manuscripts, but welcome thoughtful queries. Find out more about us at www.lcadc.com.

Literary & Creative Artists

Hello. Has anyone any experience with this agency? Here are some of the things I have found.

Proprietor: Muriel Nellis, $ on P&E and is an AAR An agent.

Profile on PM: http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/members/lcadc/

I think Ms. Nellis is pretty hip. She's on facebook :-O

Hipness aside, she's got 7 pages worth of hits on Amazon. OMG, do checkout who she represents:

Has anyone figured out how to get ahold of this agency? Their phone number and email information seems to be outdated. What's up? Are they still in business?

Update in case anyone is wondering

Just checked their website (link in post above). Here's what is on the submission page:

Literary and Creative Artists specializes in adult trade fiction and non-fiction. Currently, we are only accepting projects by established authors. We do not handle poetry, or purely academic/ technical work. If you are interested in having Literary and Creative Artists consider your work, please send a query letter and SASE to the attention of Muriel Nellis at the following address: 3543 Albemarle St., N.W. Washington, D.C. 20008-4213 Phone: (202) 362-4688 Fax: (202) 362-8875

The email address listed is [email protected] but another poster mentioned that's not working. Not sure when the page was last updated...
