The short version, for anyone who doesn't want to click the link: the charity and the publisher share staff--at any rate, the contact person is the same for each,. They also share a fax number.

The publisher has put out just a few books (and what kind of publisher would offer a contract to a raffle winner?). The charity is registered, but as of this date, its website doesn't disclose the names of its board or its staff (this is incredibly unusual for a bona fide charitable organization) and apart from vague mission statement wordage, there don't seem to be any specific charitable programs. Other than online directory-type listings, the only discoverable references to the charity are in connection with the raffle/contest.

Hard to tell exactly what's going on here, but at the very least, there's a lack of disclosure.
