Well Sassenach, I do hope it is you and not an impostor
I believe we are on the NEPAT thread which is here to allow PA ex-authors to vent, and encourage "wannabees" not to sign with PA. I am a PA Author, sometimes smart, sometimes stupid, just like every other human being, except maybe you. I assume that if you saw an old lady knocked over and her purse stolen that, instead of helping her up, you would tell her she should not be out so late at night on that particular street and leave her lying there. Great attitude!
As far as I know, when I signed with PA, there was very little out there on them. To this day there are bookstores and publishers in Canada who have never heard of PA. They would not have been able to steer me clear of them before I was published and received an ISBN number - an immediate giveaway. Same thing for England, Europe etc. AW is trying to change that, so whose side are you on? Jean-Marie is correct in saying that your attitude might stop some from coming to this Board and exposing their sad tales about PA and their treatment of their authors.
Fair question, right? I hope you have a better comment other than "Why.Did.They.Not.Do.Their.Homework?"
