I turn on the Golden Globes and who is on, Hugh Laurie. Intelligent, funny… *Sigh*

And he won, too! Someone I was rooting for.

Could Sharon Stone have any more botox in her face? I swear her face looks like a mask.

These award shows crack me up. They’re all clapping for the winner probably thinking, “That bitch doesn’t deserve it.”
“He’s getting the award because he’s old and they feel sorry for him.”
“Where did she get that dress? Give it back.”
“I’m pinching myself to cry so I look sincere for the cameras.”

They should make a reality award show with real actors/actresses. The camera can be behind the scenes while they are getting ready, and have microphones at the tables to hear what they really think. It's just a thought.

Did you see Faith Hill when Carrie Underwood won? She mouthed something like 'You gotta be kidding!' and claimed it was a joke.

But I think I'd actually watch the program you described! And I hate reality shows!

I missed it since I don’t normally watch award shows. I remember the news stations talking about it though.

P.S. Will someone please pluck Martin Scorcese’s eyebrows? He looks like a Scottish Terrier.

Hugh Laurie won. I found that out in this thread, thus invalidating my need to watch it.

But I'd like to thank those who gave me the chance to watch it! I'd like to say thanks to Baby Jesus with which all things are possible, an' I wanna thank my producer, who is Rick James (bitch) and my mom and dad, who didn't hit me in the head when I was a kid. And I want to shout out to my peeps, who are watching at home, props to you guys! And finally, I want to thank all of you who I can't see in these bright lights, because you're the ones who bought my [product] and without you, I couldn't have made it to where I am today, on this stage! Omigod, I promised myself I wouldn't cry! Good thing I didn't. Thank you!

The only award show I ever watch is the Oscars. I used to watch the VMA's when I was a teen, but lost interest in that somewhere in college.

I don't ever watch any of the "red carpet" crap, though. I hate fashion.

I don't get the Warren Beatty thing. Besides never making a movie that anyone ever liked, he has a huge forehead, sloppy lips, weasel eyes, and teeth that would force Bugs Bunny to hide his stash. I just don't get why he was ever considered hot.

I thought he looked pretty good in Shampoo.

Oh come on, Louis. We all know you like to see all those women in their tight gowns.

Thankfully our cable returned at 9:04pm, and I managed half of the "24" premiere, plus the last hour of the Globes.

Kudos to Grey's Anatomy, recognized for having a terrific second season! Helen Mirren can retire now that she has twins. Forest Whitaker finally got some well-deserved respect.

True. Very true. While I am a huge fan of Hollywood cleavage, I just hate the whole "who are you wearing" crap.

So Cal
The "who are you wearing" is getting old. But did anybody catch when Clint Eastwood won for his "letters.." film?

He looks great for his age!

And Meryl Streep! I was so happy to see them acknowledged for their work.

And what is with Jack Nicholson always in the front row, for EVERYTHING!

I hopped back and forth from New Adventures of Old Christine, but wasn't too amused with the award show. The repeat of 2 1/2 Men was much better.

We don't watch TV - but I looked at the photos this morning.

I didn't know Angelina had all those tatoos.

Why is it that everyone - including movie actors and pop singers - everyone - goes to all of the awards shows?

When was the last time Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt was on TV? Or Justin Timberlake?

My husband thinks Grey's Anatomy is really just a soap opera.

I was rooting for Lost to win.
