Great reviews.

Big box office opening yesterday.

It brings a warm glow to my heart.

Welcome back Rocky and welcome back, Sylvester Stallone.

No one thought you could do it.

They laughed at you.

But you are a true champion. A true never say die kid.

God bless and Merry Christmas.

I think this actually has potential to be a good flick (haven't seen it yet, probably won't see it in theaters), but I must express regret that the big opening has all but greenlit Stallone's "Rambo IV" project.

I look forward to it opening in UK. It seems to be the time for the dead to rise; I hear tell the new Die Hard is out here in july.

Live Free or Die Hard. The trailer of which looked like action, action, some more action, and then a side order of gunfights...

Yeah. Doesn't have that Die Hard vibe to me -- almost like it could really be any film. The absence of Michael Kamen's score is probably going to be a sore point for me. :(

Haven't seen Rocky yet but it looks pretty interesting. I hope it does well for Stallone.

Never been a fan of Stallone, quite the reverse.
But any 60 year old that can still play a boxer must be doing something right.

They propped him up with botox and steroids ;)

ooh, hark at you. Pointless action offend your artistic sensibilites?
Look at you with your matching shoes.

No, actually I love pointless action! I'm just not a fan of the Rocky series. First movie I went to see was Rocky. I was about 4 when friends of the family thought it would be a great idea to take me to see it. WTF? I rewarded their hospitality by promptly falling asleep.

"Potential to be" was during the filming and editing.

The potential has become a reality.

It's a great flick.

Enjoy.

And don't wait to see it at home.

How could anyone wait to see Rocky at home?

You need to be there in the theater with the crowd cheering, hearing the blasting music, getting the chills.

Living room doesn't do justice for a movie such as this.

You can watch....uh....In The Bedroom or On Golden Pond at home.

Rocky is meant to be watched in a theater.

THANK YOU

Ehhhhh... I'm still catching up on other flicks I want to see. & I haven't seen a Rocky movie in a theater since... well, actually I've never seen one in a theater. As for getting chills, well, I can't imagine a Rocky sequence giving me more chills than the training sequence from part 4. I mean, the guy evades the KGB on foot, runs up a small, snowy mountain in twenty seconds & still has the lung capacity to scream "DRAGOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" And if I remember correctly, the fight was the NEXT NIGHT. And he still won.

Best. Scene. Ever.

How the hell do you know this film?

I don't get enough credit for my movie tastes.

I like a lot of crappy art films that were made after 1970.

In the Bedroom is one of them.

I thought that the closest you got to "indie" films was Raiders of the Lost Ark.

You know, I haven't seen Rocky. Somebody made me watch the third one. Ugh. I laughed a lot when I saw that they were making another one with this mush-mouthed geezer.

But then I went to see Casino Royale (great, great film) and they ran the full trailer. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it looks terrific. I may even go see it. Unreal.

Maybe it'll be just like Batman Begins or Casino Royale - part of that wonderful yet too infrequent reinvention bug that's going around at the moment. I must say, the trailer did hook me. What I liked about it was it didn't look like you had to be at all familiar with what had come before -- always appreciated.

Lol! I hated Batman Begins and I wanted so dearly to love it, but I know what you're saying.

Yeah, maybe I can spare myself the first one.

Hey, that's cool. I prefer the original Batman but I admire the balls it takes to reinvent something. I have a weird thing about boxing movies. I tend to roll my eyes, "Jeez, another boxing film?" but when I get around to seeing it, I usually enjoy it.

Rocky V does not exist. Except one line when Rocky is called out in his local bar.

Fat guys in bar: "You need help Rock?"

Rocky: "It's not a pie eatin conest."

Or something like that.
