I just noticed that, 1000 posts in only a few months, that is outstanding.

Do some points count as two for certain people because I was looking through the options and saw the rep points and they don't add up. I have 15 points besides the 10, but there aren't 15 people who commented.

It has a lot to do with forged voter registration cards.

Forgive my ignorance, but what are forged voter registration cards?

Rich is being a smart aleck. It's okay to ignore him when he's bored like this.

1. You start with 10 rep points that you get just for registering.
2. If a member has over x-number of posts, they give more points each time. I think it's something like 10,000 posts equal 2 points instead of 1, but don't quote me on that.
3. Admins and MacAllister give 10-points each time.

It's also possible that you might have received a negative rep point that would detract from the total, but I don't think that's really likely. With only 214 posts, if you were doing something that was earning you negative rep points, some mod somewhere would be keeping an eye on you to make certain that you were one of them there troublemakers.

I don't mind silly comments; in fact, bring it! lol

I got some rep points, I did a little happy dance and told all my friends. My life is so empty. . .

Same here GD, except for the dancing and telling my friends part. Other than working, I am here as much as I can be, trying to take in as much info as my brain will handle.

Thanks, trulyana, for asking about rep points; I wondered about those, too. I happened to see that I had some, wondered what they meant, and thought that if they were good things, I'd like to know how to give some to others. Now I know.

Thanks to everyone for the explanation on how this works. There's so much to browse through that it's hard to take in everything. I hope that the few experienced people who replied to my posts don't think I was unappreciative. Maybe I can make up for my ignorance.

Braydie do take a look at the Newbie's Guide. It's very helpful.

Carrie and I should re-write the Newbie Guide in script/Variety Hour format. That might get more people reading it, although it would probably not improve the accuracy of it.
