    briefly
    close your eyes and
    meditate. let thoughts pass.
forgive all. recall the past and
    let go.

    Let go.
    Hatred clutters the mind, confused.
    You must find the center
    of your deep pain.
    Please, live.
Life... is like a grapefruit. Well, it's sort of orangey-yellow and dimpled on the outside, wet and squidgy in the middle. It's got pips inside, too. Oh, and some people have half a one for breakfast. -Douglas Adams

    Laughter:
    Resonant joy
    filling empty chambers.
    Nonsensical revelations
    released.

    Flashback Friday?

    Released!
    A night in jail

    Acceptance of unjust law is
    bondage.

    flows strong
    blood in my veins,
    should the river ever
ebb, my life and my time will end
    in death

    Dogs sleep
    under trees on
    August days, ignoring
    varying hares feasting in my
    garden.

(‘Varying hare’ is a common name for snowshoe hares when they are summer brown, as opposed to winter white.)

    And fall
    sneaks through darkness
    undoing summer’s work.
