    feelings
    of love are true
    when you can burp before
the person and not say sorry.

    True love:
    It's not all you.
    Not you and your lover.
It changes the world around you.
    It's new.

    It's new,
    this talk of spring.
    A crocus in gray snow,
    the distant sound of returning
    mallards.

    Mallards,
    splashing their green,
    are quick enough to dive
    deep enough to avoid eagle
    talons.

    Talons
    means eagles, means
    the warning signs are here,
means soon we will move again, means
    worry.

    Worry
    Mind is silent
    Wild lotus so vibrant
    Floating within the highland sprout
    noiseless.

    Noiseless,
    the spring pond waits.
    The ice has all melted,
frogs still sleep, and geese have not yet
    come home

    Come Home
    Turn your face North
Surely you hear the child's song?
Harmony from your heart. Come home,
    Moon Child
    ~hope to see you again.

    Moon child,
    smiling at me,
    bring me to your haven
    under the glow of innocence
    at night.

    At night,
    the window's closed—
    frost visits the garden,
    erasing the last vestige of
    summer.

    Summer.
    May's sweet blossoms,
    June's rainy bloom of stars,
July's dry heat, then leaves fall in
    August.

Please ignore the clearly insane electrical engineer behind the instrument panel. His meds won't wear off until Thur - it's Friday? Already?? Oh dear.
