Hello all, thanks for allowing me to join. I've been lurking around here for a while and since I've decided pursue my writing as more than just a hobby, I figured it was time to join up.
I currently have four different novels that I've been casually working on, as well as a few additional ideas roughly outlined. I can't say that I stick entirely to one genre, but overall I gravitate toward writing women's contemporary. I've truly dabbled in writing since I was in High School. I started with poems and short stories, most of which were terrible but fun. Writing is often deeply personal to me and it's taken me quite the leap to decide on a goal of publishing in time.
I love reading. I mean really love it. My tastes are so varied that it's tough to sum up a genre that I like. I'll read outside my typical genres for well written compelling books. I love contemporary, women's lit, mystery & thriller, and even paranormal & fantasy. I'd be open to beta reading, after all I'll hopefully be looking for beta readers myself eventually.
I do have other hobbies! I love photography and once considered making a side job of it. I soon realized that I wouldn't enjoy it as much if it were a job. I am also a hobby farmer. I live on five acres with various livestock and the long term dreams include being completely self-sustainable and off the grid.
