I've been lurking AW for absolutely forever, dreaming of the day I'd be able to sign up here and post something like this on this board. Well. I'm thrilled to finally be able to say...I HAVE AN AGENT!!
Two agents. I'm now represented by dream agent duo Holly Root & Taylor Haggerty at Root Literary.
I was a YA Pitch Wars mentee this year, but I actually snagged my agents through the slush pile. It still feels so surreal. I'd nudged them with multiple offers of rep and didn't really expect to hear a positive response...but I got a last minute cold call from the pair of them with an offer!!!
Between the pair of them, they rep the authors of some of my favorite books. They're dream agents on paper, and after our call, it was pretty damn clear they're dream agents in reality, too.
IS THIS REAL LIFE???
