Hi all,
I had someone ask me about this company, but all I found was a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/1602Enterprises/, a twitter page and Instagram. I also found this: https://www.linkedin.com/in/emily-regan-3b422831 I can't find any other info about them. any ideas?

I looked up her books and it looks like she's mostly self published. She did publish her latest book with her own company.

I also found this: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/support-indie-art-using-unnecessary-destruction-apps-books#/

Looks like your typical under-capitalized, under-experienced startup with big dreams and not much else.

They have three books listed on their Facebook page. Of the three (all published in spring/summer of this year), only one has reviews on Amazon, and all three are ranked well down in the millions. So I'm guessing their sales are minuscule. All three covers are pretty terrible.

Their Twitter account, which hasn't been active for nearly a month, seems mostly concerned with a project called At The Mercy of America (which seemed to have ended prematurely). Their other big project seems to be some sort of indie series called "Anime Love," which they were filming back in September.

Dancre, if the person in question is thinking of publishing with this outfit, I'd advise them to stay away. I searched the Texas registered corporations database and they weren't even listed, so I'm wondering how in the world they're doing business at all.

Cripes! I don't think it's a good idea to use the VOC as an inspiration. Its business model was founded entirely on plundering resources.

The VOC is the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie, the Dutch East India Company. Like the British East India Company, they weren't the good guys.

ETA: Soz. That first tweet of mine looks a bit smartarse-ish now I think about it. I've been reading a lot about the VOC lately, esp. their activities in Ambon and in their role mapping the northern coast of Australia.
