Got some good writing in today. Words turned. I described flowers and feces.

As usual, my characters did things they weren't supposed to do. I punished them with neglect. Not meeting my 40K goal by the end of today, for sure.
When I'm too tired for words, I Instagram. Yes, girls can like whiskey and wrenches.

No, never throw out words during NaNo! Save them, but black them out or something. My MSs look like they've been redacted by some shadow government, but I keep the words I wrote. You put those words back. Just cause you're not going to keep them doesn't mean you don't get to count them.

Sat down today and worked out a few hazy details with my climax and ending. I'm relieved to have figured it out, and now, excited!

Same here. I keep everything that I write; in fact, it's mentioned in Chris Baty's No Plot? No Problem!, the semi-official user's guide. Count it if it gets written, even if you change your mind about it after writing. I use the NaNo template in Scrivener and put unwanted word count at the bottom of each day's section between asterisks *like this* so still gets counted but I know what to delete if/when I want to take a stab at editing a usable manuscript out of it.
    I still poop rainbows.

I won't steal any of your ideas. I have enough of my own I'm not using.

I know I just barely caught up, but it feels like a really good day. I love the developments going on here.

Day 11: (After spending the day fighting with Amazon and dealing with every kind of LA weirdo imaginable) 0. My first goose egg, Saturdays are hard, but I have a whole hot weekend to make up the slack.

I haven't been on this site in a while, and haven't updated my NaNo profile till now.

    Day 1: 534/534
    Day 2: 516/1050
    Day 3: 490/1540
    Day 4: 678/2218
    Day 5: 807/3025
    Day 6: 995/4020
    Day 7: 556/4576
Day 8: 278/4854 (I hit a snag on this day, so I just went back and edited. Adding in a scene, and some details I forgot. Which means, no plot progression on this day)
    Day 9: 652/5506
    Day 10: 582/6088
    Day 11: 396/6484

Meh, I'm a day late, and a chapter behind thanks to day 8 of me just editing =/

I got a word sprint challenge from @NaNoSprints, and I realize that I've been really missing challenges like sprints and wars this year. And probably last year too. I was a write-in social butterfly in Ohio, and also would take whole days to go to my favorite coffee places and write, but I'm missing that in San Diego.

Really exciting to see the site tell me I only have 10k and some change left!
I'm trying hard to finish on Monday. I think my first draft in its entirety will be done close to the same time. Barely making it... looking forward to rewrites.
