So apparently I've had this account for two years... Literally no recollection of ever being here before. And for that reason, I'm going to call myself new.
I believe these posts are for introductions, so I'll write a little bit about myself. My name's Mark, I'm a huge fantasy fan (both reading and writing) and I've got a book. I've been writing, rewriting and editing it for some time, and am now in the beta readers stage, hence why I came (back) here. I've got lots of great feedback, have made lots of change, and now I'm looking for more of the first so I can make more of the second. I'm going to get my 50 posts done first, though. I ain't no rulebreaker.
Anyway, when I'm not writing I'm a maths tutor, which I also love. I enjoy teaching/helping people in both maths and writing, and have been in quite a few critique partnerships. I'm hoping to form a few more on here!
Some of my favourite series include the First Law, ASOIAF, the Stormlight Archives, the Broken Empire, and the Gentleman Bastards. I often find that reading these books while writing ends up influencing my prose, so if you like any of those, maybe you'll like Equo?
