Ambitious August - 500 words a day writing/editing - all genres welcome

Yesterday I only managed 450 words on my novella which means today, I'm shooting for 1,500 words. Time to get off the forum and get to writing!
YAY for all those who've managed words and 
's for those who are struggling.
I'm in the latter group. I need to re-read WIP #1 now that I've the 3rd POV changes done, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I need a break. So, today I've gone back to WIP #2. There are a couple of sticky plot points I need to work out so I'm going to spend some time on that.

I edited a pretty big chunk today, and I'd love to keep going, but I think my brain isn't up to it and I should probably hang it up until tomorrow.

I am still plodding along, taking a little break to catch up with some beta reads I promised. I'm hoping when I get back to it that my pace will pick up - I've reached the point where the main action gets going, so I hope I'll be propelled along by the plot in the same way my characters are

More edits! Nuked a whole bunch of words this time, only now I'm back to another chunk that's going to have to be largely rewritten, so my progress is going to slow down.

Go, Saoirse! I produced words today to augment some bits that were too thin, so I'm inching back up toward 110K. But hey, progress!
Congrats on the wordage, Saoirse and liz.
Scrivener tells me I'm managed -54 words today, which is good. I'm trimming scenes and doing research so won't have a high word count for August, but that's okay - work is work.

Wrote some more new bits tonight. I think the next chapter will be mostly light edits, but then I'm into more rewriting for a while.

Five chapters edited this morning, but admittedly not much had to happen to any of them. I am now in the 'this WIP is not nearly as rubbish as I thought' stage. Long may it continue!

Writing some short stories. Did 700 words yesterday. Realised I took the wrong track so deleted 400 words. Written another 400 by now (11 am), so I'm back where I was, although the story makes sense now.

I had Family Stuff today, so I only edited one chapter. I need to outline the next section before I proceed, because it's going to need to be pretty much completely rewritten. But once I get through that bit (currently 6 chapters), I think the last 5 chapters will only need light tweaking. So maybe...mid next week? We'll see.

Edited a chapter today, and outlined the next 4. Didn't get as much done as I'd wanted, but we did go and pick some fresh peaches, so it's a fair trade.
Also prepared a couple of promotional queries that I need to send tomorrow, and tried to figure out how to promote the Goodreads giveaway in the middle of all the news weirdness. Hard to feel like the book isn't trivial...but it's coming out no matter what happens on the news, and it is, after all, my actual job.

I got about a chapter and a half in today, and did some detailed outlining (I can only do this a chapter or two ahead of time).
I also hung out briefly with WIP #2, which made me happy.
