Hello everyone,
I'm from Nashville, TN, where I work full-time as an IT Director. I'm relatively new to writing--I began in November, 2014 with NaNoWriMo, which started a dailyroutine habit that I haven't been able to kick yet. I recently completed a manuscript for an upper middle grade science fiction novel I've been working on for a couple years.
Now that I've completed the manuscript, I'm at the stage where I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. With the research I've done to this point, I find the mass of publishing information a bit intimidating. Up until now, I've avoided delving into it out of fear that it'd be a distraction from writing and completing something. I was right. I've had to split my writing time with research on publishing, and man is it overwhelming!
One thing I have not done well is connecting with other writers. That's why I'm here. Just from browsing the Newbie Guide and some of the other stickies in the New Members forum, this seems like a welcoming, respectable and knowledgable community and I hope to become a contributing member.
