I've been writing for about four years and had some success publishing short stories and flash fiction. I'm looking towards novel writing at the moment as my next step on the ladder. Great to be among so many writers!

I'm an eclectic writer and don't usually stick to just one genre. I like experimenting, mashing genres together, and to jump between everything from lightweight comedy to gritty horror if I can. What do you write?

I'm mostly science fiction/fantasy with elements of horror and snark. I'm an old school nerd, so video games, SF/F novels, anime and TV/Films in those genres are mostly my thing. Take a look around the various sub-forums and see which ones have the crowd or topics that interest you most.

Same as me (old-school nerd) but I don't care much for anime or Fantasy.

Apart from just writing all the time, I'd say you're doing the right things by networking with other authors. Through networking I came into contact with editors. And through editors I had the opportunity to read slush piles. It's an incredible eye-opener to see what the other side looks like.
