ETA: Oh hey look, btw you're prolly doing this already, but just in case: If you like, Aussies, call the Prime Minister's Office (02 6277 7700) between 8:30 - 5:30 EST, tell them your state and your first name, and say something along the lines of 'I'm very worried about what I'm hearing re: Manus Island'. They won't ask for or want any more than that - but there's a thing happening where calls are being counted. It looks like the pressure is beginning to bite. (I got this from Kon Karapanagiotidis of the ASRC on twitter.)

Meanwhile, the still delusional Campbell Newman suggests that the LNP could have done better if only they'd talked more about his legacy.

Ant reckons the Greens are going to pick up Maiwar from Scott Emerson (ahahahahaha!), but PHON are probably going to pick up Mirani in central Queensland. That's unfortunate, for many reasons, but mostly because the ALP's Jim Pearce seems like a good bloke. (Also it includes Marlborough, which is where I usually stop to get petrol on east coast road trips, Finch Hatton, and possibly Eungella, but the map's not entirely clear.)
