Kindle Match Book

Has anyone here tried Kindle Match Book program? It seems the premise is you have a paperback book, then you make a digital copy and can set a promotional price, including free. Not certain if I've got that right.

Oh, I've got it now. Just re-read it for the 5th time and realized I was off. The program is to give the people who've purchased your paperback book the option to purchase the e-book at a promotional price.

That's right. For what it's worth, although I don't sell many print books, I have sold a few, and I have yet to see someone take advantage of the matchbook deal.

Go to your bookshelf, hover over the three dots to the right, and select 'Enroll in Matchbook.'

By the way, as soon as I spoke (wrote, more accurately) someone did pick up a free ebook copy of a paperback they purchased.

Now that I've had a few days to think about it, maybe I should do this. I have a children's sight word e-book with a separate companion coloring book. Maybe I could modify the e-book and make it a Matchbook.

I put all my titles in Matchbook. I think if a person is going to spend money on the paperback, they ought to get the eBook for free.

Agreed, even considering my margin on a $9.99 paperback is less than it is on a $3.99 ebook.
