You have started several threads asking about various promo sites and activities.

[h=3]KDP Advertising Tips[/h]
[h=3]Book of the Day[/h]
[h=3]The best way to get reviews[/h]
[h=3]BookRazor[/h]
[h=3]Daffyjkl's questions about advertising[/h]
[h=3]Results from Bookbub[/h]
[h=3]Regional Reviews[/h]
You're welcome to ask questions, of course. But it might be more useful if you work out a list of questions to ask about the various methods you've asked about, so that you can at least do your own basic evaluations of the services on offer. For example:

Have you ever bought a book because of one of their promotions?

Do you know anyone who has?

What do they plan on doing for you, if you sign up?

What do you hope will happen as a result?

How likely is this to happen?

Have the best-selling authors in your genre used these services?

If not, what do they use?

How do those best-sellers market and promote their own works?

Would my books benefit from their methods?

Could my books be improved on and if so, would that improve sales?

Can I afford to lose all the money I put into this?

Has anyone had any experience with Awesome Book Promotions? I'd like to hear some positive responses before I outlay any money. Thanks in advance.

I see your in the midst of the procrastination phase hehe.

I checked out their "awesome gang" site and see that the domain has existed since 2007 (old is good), it gets a lot of unique visitors per day and has been treated well by google, being on the up since 2013, so hasn't been "google slapped". I also checked their top inbound links and they are good with high authority. Including this one https://www.pinterest.com/Awesomegangcom/

Personally I'd go for it. I'll say one thing though in a friendly way, I think you could redo your cover. The background is so strong the black outline is not enough for the title text to stand out, needing orange glow to be added. From experience cover design is hard to do well! It's worth getting a pro. My covers take me 10 times as long as a professional and that's even with the assistance of a professional with a degree in design to give 2nd opinions and suggestions.

Hi Old Hack, thanks for your comments. I do ask lots of questions and I'm keen to learn about book promotions. I'm just trying to get quick answers. If someone else has already done the legwork then I hope to learn. At some point I hope to be able to contribute to save other people time. If I need to change the way I ask questions, please let me know. I get a lot from this site and hope to help the community in return.

Hi Arpeggio, thanks for your comments. I did get the cover professionally designed by a local graphic designer who has designed other ebook covers in the past. Your reference to procrastination was spot on. I was up to the 24th revision of the cover when I said enough. The 25th was going to be it, so I took it. It's not perfect, but at least the book is online. I spoke to the designer over the weekend about getting the title to stand out more. Also, thanks for your analysis of Awesome Book Promotions, that's enough for me to give them a try. I'll post results soon. Trying to move out of the procrastination phase!

I hope you didn't pay a lot of money for that cover, because, sorry to say, it looks homemade. It would be a good idea to get a good cover, because it IS true that people judge the book by the cover!

It could be as simple as changing the font on the cover. I've noticed that most thrillers go for an all cap, sans serif font. It's important that a book looks like it belongs in its genre.

Thanks for the feedback chompers and CathleenT, always welcome. I didn't pay a lot for the cover (less than the price of a quiet night out). I liked it, but it was the 25th revision and I thought it was now or never. I did use a graphic designer with 25+ years of experience, but not a specialist cover designer. Is it just the title font? Or do I change the entire cover?

Change the entire cover. Better yet, change the designer. If he/she has 25 years of graphic design experience, either he/she is bad or lazy. Even if they don't have experience with covers, they should have an eye to know what's good or bad design. And this is bad. Even the quality of the picture is fuzzy.
