And fully sik burnouts. Don't forget the fully sik burnouts. You get added points on your license for those in the West, I understand.

 I'm too old to do fully sik burnouts... and if #1 son tries it, he'll get my size 7 boot in his butt (we'll be sharing a car).

We snuck in when no one was looking. :D I don't think they know we're here yet.

Ugh. Got busy. Home now! (Briefly. Heading out shortly to babysit. Because I am a good sister.)

One of Mr. BF's aunts doesn't drive. She relies on friends/family to get her wherever she needs to go. We're all happy to do it, but I always think how much easier her life'd be if she could drive herself to the shops and hairdresser and whatnot.

You are a very good sister.

I really kind of hate having to rely on others to get places. I particularly hate having to wait to be picked up when I've finished shopping. So, yeah, I'll get my license, and mostly use it to go to the shopping centre or to the grocery store. Mr C will still have to take me in to see the specialist - cause there ain't no parking around there. (he drops me off and goes to Centennial Park or someplace until I'm finished)

The license thing sounds like a great idea. You and the son can study together. :)

One of my friends at school failed her driving exam before she'd even left the car park. She got to the driveway out of VicRoads, didn't notice the STOP sign at the exit and sailed through it. The examiner said, "You can reverse back now. You've failed." The whole test lasted under 10 seconds, and she was so traumatised by the experience, she didn't try again for another three years!

Yep, that was the plan.

Oh my! Poor girl. That sort of thing would certainly put you off for a while.

Totally. I had to write words. Well, after my niece went to bed, anyway. She wasn't overly keen on me writing while she was awake. And then I played some cricket cricket. But I swear I wrote, like, ten words after that.

:hi:

Example of a sick burnout. ("Sick" being bogan-talk for awesome. "Fully sick" being one step up from that).

eta: Bogan: noun. AUSTRALIAN/NZ. Informal derogatory. An uncouth or unsophisticated person regarded as being of low social status. In use: "Some bogans yelled at us from their cars."

You must live in one of those mythical places with good public transport, Jaymz. 26 years of not driving in Oz??
Just read this. I've been to NYC. I can see how someone could go a long time without driving. Sadly, I live in the suburbs. Driving is a necessity. You can't even walk to the bus stop, it's too far away. So, anyway, good for you Jay (when you wake up and see this)! Good luck!

I've gotta say, that copied example of "bogan" in a sentence got one thing wrong. Probably should've been: "Some bogans yelled at us from their utes."

A little to the left of hell
wow what a busy day / night / day!

We have new lessons in speaking AUS. *YAY* for new words!

Jay studying to get her license! Good for you!

Lil almost dying <whew> Glad you made it through!

I thought I was gonna die last night when I woke up with that little man sitting on my shoulder with his sledgehammer again. Nothing quite like getting hit in the back of the head with a sledgehammer.

So today's kinda sucking for me. Thankfully I have all of you to distract me!
