I think that should be a goal for all of us. I could use more vacations. Who couldn’t?

I mean, I don’t even have a 9-5 job and I still feel like I need more “time off”.

I suddenly realised me and Mr BF hadn't decided what to do about our new air con unit. We got a quote which was a bit pricier than we expected, but the place is really good (and their guys show up on time, which is huge with tradies) and I trust them. Plus, if we don't book in an installation for the week we get back, there isn't any availability till Feb, which is a bit late.

So we're just gonna swallow the extra cost.

So more admin for me tomorrow. Book air con install.

Time for me to toddle off to bed.

Good luck with sorting your stuff for vacation, BF! And if I don't catch you tomorrow, I hope you have a fabulous holiday and the weather up there behaves itself for you!

Have a great day, Lil!

G'night, Jay! Sleep well and I'll see you in the morning/tonight. I hope. :)

Don't get me started on a/c units.

I'm drinking classy wine. It's from a cask in my fridge I usually use for cooking (I'm not gonna open a bottle seeing as we're going away so soon). It's actually a surprisingly nice white, considering it came from a box.

Boxed wine can be very good...or so I hear. I've actually never had it. I went to a wine tasting about two years ago--I'd never had wine before. It was HORRIBLE. Oh my god, it tasted like I was sucking on markers. Except the Moscato. I love a good moscato.

Yes, it's true. I was over 40 before I ever tasted wine.

(I know you thought I was still in my 20s, but nope!)

There's actually a good reason for it...or, an explanation, I should say. But not one I'm willing to share publicly (but I'll tell you privately). :D

I say this as not much a drinker, mind you. (Please ignore the wine in my hand right now).

I had a couple beers in High School and hated it. Never since.

Huh. Yanno, I just realised all my first "drinking" experiences were overseas. First coffee was in Japan in high school (on exchange, from a vending machine, as you do). First wine was in France. First beer was in Belgium. At least, the first time I ever enjoyed beer was in Belgium.

Sigh. I miss frequent travel.

That sounds exciting.

I had my first coffee about three years ago. :) I kid you not.

Aaaah, coffee. The one I had in Japan was in a hot can and I'm sure had lots of sugar in it. Wine and beer I can live without, but cut me off from my coffee and I'll kill you violently.

Aaaannnd, I know it's not "real" coffee because it's American. And also, I only like it cold. lol

Gah!

Lol.

I know, I know. I'm such a disappointment to all the coffee purists out there. But I don't want to taste any bean flavor. Just sugar and cream with a hint of coffee after-taste.

I am imagining your expression right now.

I have to go chauffeur now. I'll be back. Will you be around?

You imagined it right. (btw, did you see that I coughed coffee all over my monitor/keyboard this afternoon when it went down the wrong way? Biiiig mess).

I should still be around, yup!

Yeah, I saw that but I was still mostly asleep so I didn't respond. But ewww, and I hope you got it cleaned up okay. Your computer should work very fast now, though, with all that caffeine! haha

See you in a bit then. :)
